Whilst I have no great love for the Scousers, I am glad they knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League last night
I have enough reasons to dislike Chelsea, from the poaching of Frank Arnesen from Spurs to Abramovich throwing his wallet around and snapping up English talent seemingly just to keep them on the bench so other teams can’t field them (I would like to see how Shawn Wright-Phillips and Joe Cole would perform for England if getting regular first team football).
My main reason of dislike though it the Special One. Jose Mourinho himself
When he first arrived over here I thought he was great. It was so refreshing to see a manager really kicking up a stink in the FA by speaking his mind and not pulling any punches. I also like the arrogance, as it certainly wasn’t born from false pride. This bloke really had got amazing results with more than one team.
That was then though and this is now.
I for one am really getting sick of his rants as they are just getting pathetic. The special one is sounding more like a spolit little brat having a temper tantrum because he’s not getting his own way. Things were rosy when Chelsea were taking all the titles, but now other teams are really giving him competition the cracks are showing. Does Mourinho accept this and that his team are not undefeatable? No - he will blame every other aspect instead.
Quite frankly Jose, you are looking like a twat.
Liverpool were the better team last night. They created more chances and looked far more determined to score than Chelsea ever did. The last few games I did see Chelsea play were pretty drab, with many of the players going through the motions. It really was starting to look like the old “One nil to the Arsenal” all over again.
The difference between Chelsea and some other teams is that when the chips are down, can they still manage to pull something special out of the hat? Can Gerrard have that moment of inspiration, can Riise make a sudden dash. With Chelsea it’s turning into what you see is what you get.
With a manager like Jose taking no responsibility for his team’s actions and publically saying they did nothing wrong and they were the better team even though they lost, it’s no wonder the players aren’t stepping up that notch.
Man U are on fire this season. It’s sink or swim time, Jose. The bench has been raised so are you going to admit you have work to do and sort out some of the overpaid, overinflated egos in your squad and put up a fight - or are you going to carry on saying the whole world is against you and life is unfair and let other teams overtake you.
The Chelsea faithful will only put up with so many cup exits or drab draws in the league against teams you should annihilate before they don’t buy your excuses any more.
