Bottom of the table.
6 points dropped in two games. That’s 6 points that should have been a saftey net when we play the top 4 if we want to finish above them and qualify for Champions League.
Champions League! Can you imagine Spurs playing the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven etc. when we can’t even beat Sunderland?
What a total joke outfit. Inept, disorganised, a total lack of bottle to score goals and a total lack of organisation to stop conceding them
Stupid Spurs. Let’s just admit we are a third-rate team who should wallow in mid-table obscurity and stop pretending we can compete with the big teams. Get some results before making grand claims, or you will just piss the fans off more and more and get boo’ed more
If we’re that good, can beat Arsenal etc. then mr. Martin Jol - SHOW ME, DON’T TELL ME!
Anyway, despite laughing at the patheticness of my team, last night was quite good. Lisa’s Bro came around for some beers and I knocked up some Chimichangas with cheese topped nachos and potatoe wedges. Lisa had the veggie option of chilli con carne. Chilli dishes are cool. Pretty versatile and it’s not too much of a ball-ache cooking two separate meals for the veggie dish as well.

And so I sit in the pub to watch the opening Spurs game of the season.
As usual, the pub is full of one day Sunderland fans (I find that if ever there is a Northern team playing, then all the locals support them - despite passionately claiming they’re midlanders and not Northerners, however when it comes to Spurs then we could be playing the Al Qaida 11 and everyone in Nottingham would be walking about in black turbans and sporting AK’s )
And in the last seconds of the game, Sunderland score the winning goal.
And the next day, in the dying moments of the Arsenal/Fulham game, Arsenal score the winning goal.
Football can be so depressing at times.

“Manchester United will offer £27.5m plus £11m-rated Louis Saha for Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov”
Fuck off you dirty Mancunian bastards with your fan-base that is all from Surrey. Go get your strikers somewhere else. Louis Saha is shite and we do not want him.
This is one situation that really pisses me off, however it is inevitable. To get into the top-4 and Champions League football you need to have some supurb players. To afford these top players, you need to already be bringing in the millions a top 4 finish gives the club.
It’ a horrible chicken/egg cycle that means the gap between Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal to the rest of the league keeps getting bigger. Spurs have finished 5th two seasons running now, but that gap from 5th to 4th is awesome.
Every now and again a clever manager makes a fantastic signing or develops a player that really does give you a chance at breaking the top 4, however the clubs already in the top 4 lure them away with the promise of playing Champions League football and huge salaries .
The only hopes for smaller clubs are:
1) The player realises he may just be put on the bench rather than get regular football (which some players do not want), however Berbatov would no doubt get regular games playing alongside Wayne Rooney
2) The player isn’t mercenary and has a bit of loyalty to their club (hahahahahahahah)
I will be so fucked off if Berbatov goes in the summer. Him and Robbie Keane are fantastic together and Berbatov is vital if Spurs are going to continue scoring and winning games.
Oh another note, we may be about to sign Gareth Bale, however I do not beleive the dribble the BBC publish as more than often they are wrong (I think they sensationalise news to try and compete with Sky Sports), but he may yet be pulled from under out feet by MAn U.
RAHHHHH!!!!
In your Manchester slums,
In your Manchester slums,
You search in the bins for something to eat,
You find a dead rat - you think it’s a treat
In your Manchester slums,
You’re all cockney wankers,
You’re all cockney wankers,
You’re all cockney wankers,
You’re all cockney wankers,

Whilst I have no great love for the Scousers, I am glad they knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League last night
I have enough reasons to dislike Chelsea, from the poaching of Frank Arnesen from Spurs to Abramovich throwing his wallet around and snapping up English talent seemingly just to keep them on the bench so other teams can’t field them (I would like to see how Shawn Wright-Phillips and Joe Cole would perform for England if getting regular first team football).
My main reason of dislike though it the Special One. Jose Mourinho himself
When he first arrived over here I thought he was great. It was so refreshing to see a manager really kicking up a stink in the FA by speaking his mind and not pulling any punches. I also like the arrogance, as it certainly wasn’t born from false pride. This bloke really had got amazing results with more than one team.
That was then though and this is now.
I for one am really getting sick of his rants as they are just getting pathetic. The special one is sounding more like a spolit little brat having a temper tantrum because he’s not getting his own way. Things were rosy when Chelsea were taking all the titles, but now other teams are really giving him competition the cracks are showing. Does Mourinho accept this and that his team are not undefeatable? No - he will blame every other aspect instead.
Quite frankly Jose, you are looking like a twat.
Liverpool were the better team last night. They created more chances and looked far more determined to score than Chelsea ever did. The last few games I did see Chelsea play were pretty drab, with many of the players going through the motions. It really was starting to look like the old “One nil to the Arsenal” all over again.
The difference between Chelsea and some other teams is that when the chips are down, can they still manage to pull something special out of the hat? Can Gerrard have that moment of inspiration, can Riise make a sudden dash. With Chelsea it’s turning into what you see is what you get.
With a manager like Jose taking no responsibility for his team’s actions and publically saying they did nothing wrong and they were the better team even though they lost, it’s no wonder the players aren’t stepping up that notch.
Man U are on fire this season. It’s sink or swim time, Jose. The bench has been raised so are you going to admit you have work to do and sort out some of the overpaid, overinflated egos in your squad and put up a fight - or are you going to carry on saying the whole world is against you and life is unfair and let other teams overtake you.
The Chelsea faithful will only put up with so many cup exits or drab draws in the league against teams you should annihilate before they don’t buy your excuses any more.

Alas, the last chance of silverwear this season was lost last night. Although we drew 2-2 on the night, we lost 4-3 on aggregate following the 2-1 loss in Spain last week.
I won’t go into the match report as the BBC can do a better job at that than me, however it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the two penalty decisions that went against Spurs were different (the first last week where a penalty went against Spurs after Robinson was deemed to foul a striker, even though he was not red-carded as should have happened and then last night where Zokora was brought down in the penalty box and the ref and linesman waved play on)
Perhaps if the first leg was 1-1 as it should have been and we had an extra goal from the penalty we should have got then things may have been different.
Who knows. Just a shame at the standard of ref’ing.. Still, good to see King playing again
